Police are appealing for information to help trace a man reported missing.

Barry Davies, who is 37-years-old, was last seen at Teviothead late last night (Monday).

He has not been seen or heard from since and concern is growing for his welfare.

Barry is described as white, 6ft tall, of slim build, with a shaved head and blue eyes. When he was last seen he was wearing dark-coloured trousers with side pockets, a black biker’s jacket and black gloves, and was carrying a camouflage rucksack.

He may have access to a 4x4 silver vehicle.

Inspector Kevin Harris told the Hawick News: “Local officers have been conducting enquiries in the Hawick area to trace Barry since he was reported missing.

“We are keen to establish his whereabouts as soon as possible and anyone who believes they have seen him since the early hours of this morning is asked to come forward.

“In addition, we would ask Barry to get in touch with friends, family or police to let us know he is safe and well.”

Anyone who has any information that may help with the search is asked to call police immediately on 101.
