Townsfolk are invited to get into the Christmas spirit at Saturday’s festive-themed concert at the Elliot Bandstand.
The event, which is being staged as a pre-cursor to the Christmas parade later in the afternoon, will see the Salvation Army singing Christmas carols and a performance by local duo The Humble Scribes.
“We wanted to tie in with the Christmas parade on the High Street,” said Wilton Lodge Park events manager Gordon Webber. “With the lights switch-on and parade, we’re encouraging folk to make an afternoon of it and enjoy a bit of a sing-along in the park as well. With it being November and Scotland we’ll be prepared for the weather and have some hot drinks on offer in lieu of the cafe not being open.”
The music starts at 2pm and will run for about an hour.
