At last Thursday’s Camera Club meeting, members were asked to display their photographic results of a summer trip to the Hirsel estate in Berwickshire.
Several members brought along their efforts of the outing which took place in early June, when the gardens were in full bloom. The parkland provided ample scope for rural tree-lined walks, colourful scenes of rhododendrons and other botanical beauties, as well as fine arts and crafts which are produced in the studios and workshops on the estate.
Members are reminded that the ‘Agricultural’ competition will take place at Galashiels on Wednesday, November 12, at 7.30pm. The following evening, the Hawick clubrooms will host a practical demonstration entitled ‘Light Room’ by Ali Graham. Submit entries for the ‘People’ competition at this time.
