Hawick Camera Club is seeking historic photographs to help celebrate its three-quarters-of-a-century of work.

The first meeting of the club took place on March 30, 1937, in the Central Rooms, O’Connell Street, and the club plans to celebrate its 75th anniversary with a special exhibition at the museum in early 2013.

Members are looking for photographs taken by members during the first 60 years of the club, between 1937-1997.

Anyone who has, or who knows someone who has, any such photos are invited to contact the club’s Eric Scotland with a view to discussing the loan of their pictures. People able to assist can reach Mr Scotland on 370191.
