A DISUSED bus shelter in Bourtree Place is being relocated to Newmill.

The move, at a cost of £2, 250, is being undertaken by Scottish Borders Council’s Small Schemes division, in response to a plea for a shelter for members of the Newmill community.

The local budget has also funded the recent revamp of play equipment in Green Terrace, and at a meeting of Teviot and Liddesdale Area Forum, councillors gave the go-ahead for the upgrade of the footpath in Denholm Main Street at a cost of £13, 031, as well as the installation of dropped kerbs in Beaconsfield Terrace, costing £1, 475.
