Burnfoot Community Council holds its first meeting of the New Year in the Community School on Tuesday night.
Council chairman Michael Grieve is once again welcoming input from members of the public and he says it’s an ideal opportunity for them to have their voices heard: “I would advise anyone who has an issue, an idea or a grievance relating to the estate to come along on Tuesday.
“It’s a good chance for them to meet, not only their community councillors but their Scottish Borders Council members also.”
The busy agenda includes the monthly police report as well as updates on various projects including suggestions for small scheme initiatives, the Wilton Cemetery Remembrance Garden as well as the Burnfoot Carnival, the local energy partnership and Burnfoot Community Futures.
There is also a public questions forum at which the public are invited to talk about any pressing issues and to share concerns.
The estate’s three area members will also give updated progress reports.
The meeting takes place at 7pm in the school staff room.
