Border Club’s gig night

The Border Club continues its 125th anniversary celebrations with another visiting band from the USA.

Laura Cortese and the Dance Cards will take centre stage tomorrow night (Friday), and their elegant music – schooled in the lyrical rituals of folk music and backed by grooves that alternately inspire Cajun two-stepping and rock ‘n’ roll swagger – is sure to prove popular with local music fans. Doors open at 7pm and tickets (£10) are available from Rum and Milk or the venue.
