THE Hawick branch of the British Heart Foundation (BHF) has issued an urgent appeal for new volunteers.
The High Street shop, which employs one full-time and one part-time member of staff, currently has ten volunteers.
But shop manager Jackie Blackie has appealed for more help.
She said: “We’re looking for anybody who could do two or three hours and it doesn’t need to be every day.”
Every penny raised through the BHF shop stays in Scotland.
Jackie added: “We couldn’t run the shop without the volunteers, they are the lifeblood of the place.”
Anyone interested should pop into the shop. Two references are required.
