Hawick Senior Citizens Association is appealing for help cooking lunch for members on Thursday’s at the Evergreen Hall.
Secretary Mary Beck is keen to hear from anyone who has the appropriate food and hygiene qualifications to get in touch.
The lunch club meets on Thursday’s at 12 noon and a two-course lunch is served to between 20 to 25 members.
Speaking to the Hawick News this week, Mrs Beck said: “We have kitchen volunteers who set the tables, serve the lunch and clear up but at the moment we have a shortage of cooks. We are appealing for more volunteers to come forward. Even if it is for one day a month we could fit them into a rota.”
