THE O’Connell Street Medical Practice has announced that due to the computer system being upgraded later this month, it will only be able to deal with urgent matters.
The change-over to a new database will see the practise only able to deal with medical emergencies and urgent matters from Monday, August 15.
There will be no routine GP or practice nurse appointments during that time. No repeat prescriptions can be processed from then until Monday, August 29.
It is recommended that patients check their medication to ensure they have an adequate supply.
A spokesman for the practise added: “We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause, however this change is essential for the continued care of our patients and all at O’Connell Street Medical Practice appreciate your support and consideration over the coming weeks as we begin to use the new system.”
