One of Hawick’s most popular entertainment venues is set to krank up the festivities with a top-notch programme of performers.
The Border Club will play host to three events over Christmas and New Year, with proceeds going to its adopted charity, Avril’s Trust.
Kicking things off on Sunday will be Hawick Amateur Operatic Society singing a selection of Christmas carols and songs from the shows and Abba. Doors open at 3pm for pre-concert refreshments with the performance getting under way at 5.30pm. Tickets are £5 and available from the club beforehand or on the day.
The club’s entertainment progamme continues on Boxing Day when Borders rock band DarkHorse will take to the stage. Doors open at 7pm and the band will strike up at 8pm. Tickets are £5 from the club or on the night.
Rounding off the Border Club’s forthcoming bill of music are Scocha with an eagerly anticipated gig on New Year’s Day. Tickets (£12) are selling fast and only available from the club. No tickets will be sold on the door.
Membership secretary David Brown said: “It’s great to see Scocha returning to the club with their unique electrifying style.”
