Members of the public are invited to Wilton Lodge Park on Sunday for a dawn chorus walk.
Scottish Borders Council’s senior countryside ranger Keith Robeson will lead the walk as part of the Borders Nature Festival.
He said: “A walk through the park at dawn is a great way to discover the unique sounds of nature in the early morning and participants will hear a variety of sounds and bird calls not often heard later in the day.”
The walk, which starts at 5am, finishes with breakfast in the park. Pre-booking is required and the cost is £5 per person. Phone the VisitScotland box office at Heart of Hawick on 360688.
