SINGING comedian Darren Johnstone had the judges laughing at his audition for ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.
But now the talented 33-year-old will have to wait until February next year before he finds out whether he’s made the final cut for the televised show.
Darren (pictured), who has entertained at Party on the Pitch, Burnfoot Carnival and the 1514 Concert this year, travelled to the Edinburgh International Conference Centre last weekend where he entertained with his song, “Hardcore Quorn”, about innuendo-type vegetarianism.
He told the Hawick News: “I was a bit nervous in the morning but when I got in and got registered I was fine.
“You have to keep up a bit of a front because there’s cameras everywhere and a few people were acting up, but I just told myself to be confident and courteous to everyone and the producers seemed to like that.
“The judges were laughing at my tune and the producers were happy that it was different.”
