Berwick travelled to Wilton Lodge Park last week to face Quins in a repeat of the Border BT Shield final.

The home team got off to a good start with Steven Mabon breaking through the midfield and good play by backs and forwards led to Liam Nichol going over for the first try of the match. Adam Hall scored another try shortly after to give his side a 10-0 lead.

It looked like the Quins were in control, but Berwick raised their game and played some excellent 15 man rugby.

Two tries followed for the visitors as they overturned the deficit for a 12-10 lead.

Quins centre Graeme Lothian went over for a try to give his side a 15-12 lead just before half-time.

The match was stopped for a period due to an injury and when it resumed Ross Nichol and Ross Anderson added tries for the Quins which were both converted by Adam Hall.

It was another good win for Quins in a match where both teams produced their fair share of attacking rugby.

The players have a three-week break before their BT Shield semi-final match when they travel to the West of Scotland to play the winner of the Irvine v Carrick match.
