GREENS vice-captain Rory Hutton insists the players are raring to go as they fight for Premier One survival.
With victories over Peebles, Jed-Forest and Haddington since the first half of the season ended, Hutton revealed there is a confidence in the side that has been missing.
Hawick face tough matches at home against Stewart’s-Melville, Edinburgh Accies and Heriot’s, with away ties at Hamilton, Glasgow Hawks, Watsonians and Jed.
But Hutton said they are ready to show coach Phil Leck and the long-suffering Hawick supporters their true potential – starting at Mansfield Park today.
He said: “We’re more than ready for the challenge. Since the league stopped it’s been a build up towards this Saturday and the effort shown so far has been great.
“With this game first up being at home, it’s important to get the best possible start and push on from there.
“Every single player wants to improve from our first half of the season and this gives us a fresh start to do so.
“We believe Hawick should be in Prem One and the boys are ready for Saturday.”
