ROVERS floundered to one of their biggest ever defeats with a woeful display away to Hotspur.

Playing without any shape and lacking completely lacking in fight and commitment, Rovers were hit with a three-goal blast from Hotspur in the first 15 minutes of the match.

The Galashiels outfit then put themselves out of sight by netting four more times, after which Rovers’ Richard Snowdon was red carded.

In the second period, Hotspur continued to run riot with another four counters.

Minutes from time, William Monteith opened Rovers’ account with a penalty.

The only bright spots on an otherwise dark day for the Teries were the performances of youngsters Gary Moffat and Brendan McKendrick, both of whom showed up well.
