WHILE it may have been a day to forget for most Scottish fans it was a very memorable occasion at Murrayfield for Denholm Primary School pupil Mully Bannerman.
The youngster was a mascot for the match, which England won 13-6.
Mully, who was picked to represent Hawick Minis, ran out and sang Flower of Scotland in front of scrum half Chris Cusiter.
He said: “Although I was disappointed with the Scotland performance, the experience is one I’ll never forget and meeting some of the squad afterwards for pictures and autographs was fantastic.”
Alan “Chunk” Jacobson and Max Evans made the biggest impressions on the primary seven pupil.
Dad Nick said: “Mully also spoke to Alex Salmond for quite a time before the players emerged for autographs and Mully tells me he was quite direct with him about his views on independence!”
