TEENAGE jockey Kieron Edgar showed plenty of French flair as he rode his first winner on the flat at La Gacilly.
Kieron has spent the last six weeks in France riding for top trainer, Brittany-based Armel de Clerc.
During his time there he had six rides, two flat, two hurdle and two cross country.
And on Sunday, at La Gacilly, he took the £4,500 first prize on Solvita.
Kieron, who left school last year to start at David Pipe’s stables as an amateur jockey, has had two unplaced rides under National Hunt rules.
Riding point-to-point from just 12 rides he secured two winners, two seconds and two thirds.
He returns to David Pipe’s next week when he is hoping to turn conditional.
