DENHOLM and Drumlanrig Primary School came out on top in the Hawick Primary Girls Area Netball Championship last Thursday.
And the two teams will now venture to the Queens Centre, Galashiels to represent Hawick in the Border finals, with Denholm looking to retain the trophy they won last year.
More than 100 girls from seven cluster schools took part in the area championship, with ten teams split into two pools of five which guaranteed four matches each.
Wilton Primary School and Burnfoot Community School were the two runner-up sides after the play-off ties saw Denholm edge past Burnfoot and Drumlanrig squeeze past Wilton on the golden goal rule after a 2-2 draw at the end of normal play.
Borders Sport & Leisure Trust (BSLT) Hawick primary active schools co-ordinator Paul Scott said: “A huge well done to all the girls who took part. The games hall was packed from start to finish and that is testament to the quality of netball on show.
“A big thank you to everyone involved in helping make the championship such a great event and good luck on behalf of the cluster to Denholm and Drumlanrig in the Borders finals.”
