HAWICK’S Fraser Clyne kept a firm grip on the Sim Cup at last Tuesday night’s Moffat Gala Running Festival.

Competing in the junior race, the young Teviotdale Harier set a blistering pace to claim the silverware for the second successive year. Ishbel Inglis also ran strongly and was first Hawick girl home, with Emma Grieve runner-up.

In the adults’ race, Teviotdale’s Alan Inglis was 22nd, while also competing were Teries Mandy Short, Michelle Ritson and Sandi Spence.
