HAWICK boxers packed a punch at the Clovenstone Boxing Show in Penicuik on Sunday.
Macauley Walker and Tom Robson were competing at the Miners Welfare Club and put in great performances.
Walker was facing the much fancied Ben Kinear from the home club but due to the weight difference it was a non-scoring exhibition bout. And the young Teri, son of heavyweight fighter Gareth Walker, showed off a selection of great skills.
Robson was up in bout eight. A great prospect, he travels a round-trip of over 40 miles three times a week to train at the Hawick club.
He was up against local boxer Steven Donaghue and, after some scything left hands and stinging rights, the referee stopped the bout with one minute and 30 seconds gone in the first round.
