THIS year’s JH Reilly top try scorer trophy went to Hawick YM’s Neil McColm.

The Redskins flier, who played on the wing and at full-back during last season’s unbeaten campaign, scored 24 tries in total in the league and cup.

It is the first time a player from the YM has won the trophy since it was first presented 20 years ago by the family.

McColm beat off the challenge from team-mate Lee Armstrong (20 tries), with Hawick Wand-erers’ James Parker third (16 tries), Dean McCracken from the YM fourth (14) and Stuart Graham of the PSA in fifth with 12 tries.

McColm received the award from Paul Reilly, oldest grandson of JH Reilly.
