Hawick RFC have announced the departure of head coach Phil Leck, following the conclusion of a two-year contract.
In a statement released on Tuesday night, a spokesperson for the club said: “We regret that we have not been able to reach terms upon which we can renew the arrangement, which has been successfully pursued for the past two seasons.
“The club would like to thank Phil Leck for his excellent work with the club, which saw us gain promotion in his first full season, and reach our highest position for a decade in the season just past.
“Both HRFC and Phil wish each other well for future success, as HRFC begin their search for a new head coach.
Phil said that he is “grateful and proud” to have been part of HRFC, and the club say they are fortunate to have worked with such a highly skilled coach.
