HAWICK assistant Rocky Johnstone admitted he travelled to Mayfield fearing the worst.
But he left ruing missed opportunities as the Greens came so close to defeating Dundee.
And he cursed the errors that gifted soft scores to their opponents.
He said: “I had bad visions before we went up there to be honest. I’d spoken to Cammy Rudkin before it and he said they were the best team he’d refereed for a long time.
“In the first ten minutes they were all over us but once we took the game to them, we executed things well and looked good rugby players.
“The problem was we gave away cheap tries and that annoyed me. We worked hard for our tries but they were given theirs by our mistakes.
“But Dundee were really panicking in the last few minutes.
“I’m confident that if we cut out the mistakes then the wins will come. And we’ve got to be more clinical when we’re in the opposition half.”
