HOST club Teviotdale Harriers continues to make great strides with an increase in entries for Sunday’s annual 10K race and fun run, both of which took place in and around Wilton Lodge Park.

Event organisers were delighted with the turnout as 82 participants enjoyed the fun run which comprised one lap of the park, and a further 72 athletes lining up for the 10K (twice round Martin’s Bridge).

A Harriers spokeswoman said: “It was great to see so many people turn up to take part from so many different towns and to see such big numbers coming along to cheer on the runners.

“The club would also like to thank officials at the Volunteer for the use of the clubrooms for race registration, and to all those who helped organise, marshal and record times – without whom the event could not have taken place.

“And to those who contributed to our fund-raising cake and candy stall – their support is greatly appreciated.”
