HAWICK United opened the scoring in this Border Amateur ‘B’ Divison match, but shipped five goals and finished with ten men as they slumped to another defeat.
Geo Shepherd’s side looked dangerous in the early exchanges and Ian Turnbull set up Ross Scott, who broke the deadlock for the Tangerines.
And they continued to hold their own until the half-hour mark, when Coldstream levelled against the run of play.
This gave the home side a lift and they went on to score a further two goals before half-time.
The second period had barely started when veteran Brian Stavert was shown a straight red card for upending a Coldstream player inside the area.
Worse was to follow for United as the subsequent penalty saw them slip further behind.
The Tangerines continued to press and Turnbull hit the bar with a free-kick before Scott Storrie also went close.
But Coldstream had the final say as they netted their fifth goal of the afternoon.
