In a Border Amateur Division ‘A’ clash that was switched from Langholm due to the 3G pitche being unplayable, Hawick Waverley toppled Langholm Legion 3-2.

Jordan Yardley gave Waverley an early lead with a well-struck free-kick. After Langholm had equalised, Yardley put Waverley ahead for a second time with another fine goal.

The men from the Muckle Toon, in turn, got on a level pegging again, but Waverley had the last say when Peter Gellaitry hit home a winner eight minutes from time.

n Hawick Legion gained a share of the spoils in a 1-1 Division ‘B’ encounter with Leithen Rovers at Innerleithen. Michael Moir netted Legion’s goal.

n Hawick Legion Rovers recorded a 2-2 draw in their Division ‘C’ match away to Kelso Rovers.

After being set up by Jordan Caldwell, Thomas Scott got Rovers off to a dream start by scoring in the opening seconds.

The Tweedsiders then went on to notch two goals, before Craig McCutcheon found the back of the net for Rovers.
