Seven goals from Ross Scott was the main feature of United’s clear-cut ‘B’ Division victory.

Ace marksman Scott got his first during the opening exchanges, following good play by Daniel Bolton.

United then went further ahead through a Sean Owens penalty after Scott had been downed in the box.

After Scott had netted his second counter of the game, Chirnside hit back to reduce the leeway.

Following the break, Scott completed his hat-trick.

Minutes later, Owens put away a second penalty.

It was simply one way traffic after this and it was Scott who was leading the convoy for in a remarkable purple patch the United striker netter a further four times.

After Steven Shields had rattled the post with a raging 30-yard free-kick, Owens put the Tangerines into double figures with his third goal of the game.

Goal machine Scott said of his golden day: “I can’t believe I managed to score seven goals in one game. Although I was very pleased about this it doesn’t matter who scores the goals. It’s all about a team victory and I’m happy as long as United win.”
