Dalbeattie Star 4

Hawick Royal Albert 2

Hawick Royal Albert lost 4-2 at home to Dalbeattie Star in the Lowland League last Saturday, their sixth defeat in nine games so far this season.

But with no draws, their tally of nine points from three wins means Royalists are in 11th place, Star, meanwhile, moved up to fourth place.

Albert trailed 2-0 at half-time to goals from Muir (3) and Sloan (25).

Graham (64) made it 3-0 before Josh Morris netted on 68 minutes to reduce the deficit.

Morris grabbed another goal even minutes from time to give Albert hope of completing an amazing comeback, but Dalbeattie finished off the game in injury time when Sloan scored his second goal.

Royalists are away to Civil Service Strollers in the first round of the Scottish Cup on Saturday, hoping to repeat their stunning 5-0 win at Christie Gillies Park on the first day of the season.
