Hawick driver Hamish Brandon doggedly battled set-up issues in rounds five and six of the Power Maxed MINI Challenge at Snetterton to end the weekend in fourth position.
The Panda Racing ace made a good start to Saturday’s race, and following a short safety car deployment and an off-track skirmish at Oggies, took the chequered flag in eighth position.
In contrast to the previous day’s encounter, Sunday’s race was incident-free, with Brandon driving consistently to secure a highly-creditable fourth place.
“We had a tough start and the race one incident [at Oggies] was my fault. But I cleared my head on the Saturday night, and emerged [on Sunday] with a good fourth-place result, which is fantastic.”
