Junior Open(July 19): Twenty-six competitors from seven Borders clubs took part in this competition held in conjunction with the BGA under-14 and under-16 tournament. Two Minto players, Lily Towers and her brother Frazer, took first and second places in the open. Lily thus retained her title, a feat never achieved before.
