PRODUCING some fast-flowing rugby despite the muddy pitch, the Burnfoot Carnival mini sevens tournament saw a sizeable crowd being well entertained on Saturday afternoon.
Burnfoot, Drumlanrig and Trinity schools each fielded a primary six and seven team, who were competing in their respective age groups for trophies donated by Burnfoot Roadhouse and medals by Burnfoot Community Council.

After some exciting play, Trinity emerged winners of both tournaments – being run close by Drumlanrig in the primary seven contest and Burnfoot in the primary six competition.

The medals and trophies were presented by Carnival Queen Shaunie Moore and Provost Zandra Elliot.

Tournament organisers would like to thank everyone who made the day such a success and, in particular, the Burnfoot boys for their belly slides in the mud!

Also, the event would not have been possible without the help of Rocky Johnstone and the PSA players who were more-than-able referees.
