BUCCLEUCH

Last Wednesday's Border League clash saw Buccleuch enjoying an excellent win against St Ronan's at Innerleithen. In a close game that could have gone either way, the Teries won by 18 shots to move into second spot in the table. The top
rink for the visitors comprised D. Gentleman, J. Notman, T. Edmison and G. Johnstone (skip).

The Pub League drew to a close on Sunday with the Burns Club emerging champions having won all their eight games.

Second place went to Jock Reid's, with Burnfoot Roadhouse third and The Waverley fourth. Event organisers would like to thank sponsor AH Taxis for their support. The Pub League Knockout Cup is on Sunday, September 14.

Local bowlers Ryan Brady, Reece Taylor, Aaron Scott and Scott Clarkson will take part in the Edinburgh and Leith Four Association Tournament on Sunday at Sighthill. Supporters are welcome to attend at the venue from 10am onwards.

WILTON

LAST Monday night saw the 'A' team recording a hard-fought two-shot victory at Kelso. Top squad for the West Stewart Place side comprised Ian Oliver, Kenny Hill, Andrew Kyle and Bill Anderson (skip).

Unable to build on their win on the Monday night, the 'B' team slipped to defeat at home to Selkirk last Wednesday by 82 shots to 69.
The sweep winners for Wilton were Tom Lothian, Gordon Fraser, John Smyth and Rikky Paterson (skip).

A full entry took part in a pro-am bowling tournament at West Stewart Place, which saw the trio of Katy Waugh, Anne Fenton and Alan Waugh (skip) taking the honours by four shots to three after a tense final against Jonh Hogg, Michael Notman and Bill Jaffray (skip).
Wilton president Duncan Macdougall gave the vote of thanks and handed over the prizes.

An excellent entry of 28 combinations took part in the Belhaven open picnic pairs, which was won by Keith 'Chugger' Brown and Colin 'Suz' Sutherland (skip), who defeated Malcolm Scott and Jimmy Murdie (skip) 6-4 in a closely-contested final.

The beaten semi-finalists were Pat Cleary and Gordon McPherson (skip) and Duncan Macdougall and Bill Anderson (skip).

A vote of thanks was given by Duncan Macdougall, who also presented the Belhaven-sponsored prizes.
