Motocross rider Lee Robson got the defence of his Safe Access Scottish B Class Championship off to a turbulent start at Tain.
With the track in good condition he qualified in fifth and the first race got off to a good start. Lee was in the lead but went down on the third lap and, although he restarted in 16th, he managed to salvage a sixth-placed finish.

The second race
was similarly eventful as, from a start in sixth, he got back to third before crashing on a corner. He began again in fifth and made his way back to third, only to be thrown over the handlebars and be stuck under the bike. Undeterred he started again in 30th and worked his way to a credible 16th.

However, the third race had a more favourable result. The 21-year-old said: "With the last race of the day my goal was just to keep it rubber side down. After a good start I was in second, then I slipped to third, but I kept the bike upright and with the track so rough at this point I came through to take my first win of the year giving me fourth overall on the day."

Lee would like to thank Border Sport and Leisure Trust for its support over the winter with training and help from staff, as well as TD9 Menswear for its continued support.
