Cue king Aaron chalks up more success

AARON Hogg is on cue for more success on the snooker table.
The 20-year-old burst onto the scene in his early teens and is getting better and better on the green baize as he gets older.

Not bad for someone who started with a cut-down cue at the Burns Club, standing on empty drink crates to reach the table.

Aaron already has an impressive trophy haul having won the Borders Under-18 title five times and the Under-25 crown two years ago. Indeed, in respect of the U-18 crown, he first clinched it at the tender age of 13, the youngest ever winner, and retained it every year after, eventually having to give it up when he became too old to defend it.

However, he has had to clear further space in his cabinet after reclaiming the Under-25 trophy, coming out on top at the tournament in Jedburgh.
