Wilton Hill rabbits
I was appalled to hear that there was a campaign against rabbits by residents in the Wilton Hill area of the town, and calls for them to be "treated like the vermin they are". But what are "vermin" other than wildlife that intolerant humans find annoying or a nuisance.
They are ceretainly no different from any other mammalian species in that their populations will adjust in accordance with their habitat.
Before the people of Wilton Hill condemn the rabbits, they should have reflected on their own impact on the environment.
Rabbits are unlikely to destroy life on the planet, as we know it; humans most probably shall.
