A man has been disqualified from driving after admitting being in charge of a van while almost three times the legal alcohol limit.
Martin Charlotte appeared from custody at Selkirk Sheriff Court where he also pleaded guilty to a charge of alllowing himself to be carried in a vehicle without the consent of the owner in Gladstone Street on Monday.
The 30-year-old, of Melrose Court, also admitted a third charge of stealing a keyring and £260 of money.
Sheriff Kevin Drummond deferred sentence until April 13 at Jedburgh Sheriff Court where Charlotte has other matters calling.
He granted bail but imposed a home curfew between 9pm and 7am, as well as an interim driving ban.
