Borders Textile Towerhouse is hosting one of Craft Scotland’s Meet your Maker events this weekend.

Fourteen talented Scottish makers – including stone-carvers, weavers, book-binders and jewellers – have been selected for their skills, commitment and creativity, from the design stage, through production, to the final pieces.

Launched in 2010 by Craft Scotland, Meet your Maker has grown into a national showcase and is being staged across eight Scottish venues to give more people the opportunity to witness authentic crafts in the making.

Local craftswomen Pauline Burbidge (pictured), who is a quiltmaker based in Allanton, Berwickshire, and Natasha Smith, from Ancrum, who specialises in stone-carving, will both be attending over the weekend.

Entry to the event is free and the public are welcome to come along to the Towerhouse tomorrow (Saturday) 10am-4.30pm and Sunday noon-4pm.
