Table-top baby sale for BGH’s special care baby unit

Hawick mum Alison Johnson has organised a table-top
baby sale in aid of a cause close to her heart.

The event will be held in the Orrock Halls on Sunday, March 1 (10.30am-3.30pm), and attracted the full number of 15 tables within a matter of hours – with the sellers’ fees of £10 each, £1 entry and prodeeds from the raffle and cake and candy to be donated to the special care baby unit at Borders General Hospital.

Alison said: “Since there is no longer such a thing as the Jack and Jill sales which used to be really popular in the Borders, I decided to organise one for Hawick and all the tables were taken in 24 hours.

“My wee boy had a slight heart murmur and spent a short time in the special care unit, so I thought it would be nice for the money to go there.”

The sale will comprise baby clothes, books and toys etc as well some items for older toddlers.
