Last Tuesday’s competitions evening was cancelled due to a shortage of entries, but in its place, club president Henry Gray presented a series of short films as follows: ‘A Foggy Day’ but as visibility was poor, its running time was only 44 seconds.

Next was ‘Lightpool’, featuring the famous Blackpool illuminations, after which the evening continued with two 30-minute films offering spectacular aerial views of Scotland, starting at Edinburgh in the east to the Isle of Staffa in the west.

These were followed by a flight from the Isle of Skye to the summit of Ben Nevis, displaying the beauty of Scotland from a bird’s-eye point of view.

Tuesday’s meeting will feature a selection of films by the Scottish Association of Moviemakers (SAM).
