A man who admitted shoplifting while on bail has been told he will be locked up if he commits a further offence.
Lee Smith appeared from custody at Selkirk Sheriff Court where he pleaded guilty to stealing biscuits and a bottle of medicine from the Lidl store on Monday.
The court was told the goods came to a total value of £10.
Sheriff Kevin Drummond deferred sentence until April 20 at Jedburgh Sheriff Court where 31-year-old Smith, of Hillend Drive, has other matters calling and for which background reports have been ordered.
He warned Smith that he would be remanded in custody if he committed any other offences and imposed a home curfew between 9pm and 7am.
