A REWARD has been offered up for the return of a motorbike, which was stolen from a garden shed at Yarrow Terrace on Saturday night.

Steven Patterson had been out on his Yamaha WR 250f bike on Saturday, but when he went to check on it the following day it was gone.

He said: “I locked it up in the shed, but when I went back in the morning to give it another wash, I took off the bottom lock and the shed door just fell on me. I went in to see about drilling the hinges back on and I didn’t even twig the bike had gone, but then I suddenly realised.

“I’m totally gutted.”

Steven, who is pictured on the bike (pictured), only bought it a month ago and has been out on it just twice.

The registration number is WX09 0VB, while it was blue plastics with one industries delta graphics, acerbis handguards, a carbon fibre frame and exhaust guards.

The reward for information leading to the bike’s return is £500.

Steven added: “I’ve been in touch with Yamaha dealers to try and track it down, but I’ve had no luck so far. I’m hoping somebody has seen or heard something.”

Anyone with information should contact the police station on 375051 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 1111.
