PUPILS from Wilton Primary School have been showing off their artistic talents to great acclaim.
Four youngsters, from primary five through to primary seven, formed an art club with the help of teacher Louise Darcy, and met every Friday lunch-time.
Each pupil was given the chance to choose a piece of work using a variety of techniques, which lasted around two weeks, before the next pupil made their choice.
Louise, who is pictured with the pupils, told the Hawick News: “Painting is a passion of mine and I wanted to dedicate some time to help the boys create some masterpieces of their own.”
And their work was so good that it formed a hugely popular exhibition, which ran earlier this summer at the museum in Wilton Lodge Park, with each youngster selecting three or four pieces to display.
Louise added: “It really was exciting opportunity for the boys as they have never had any of their work on display before.”
