Firebrand brings 54% Acrylic, a one-act play by David Harrower, to the Heart of Hawick from next Friday to Sunday, October 11-13, and the £12 ticket price includes free pub staples: a pie and a pint.
Director Richard Baron said the “gripping and humorously quirky” 50-minute play is about store detective Gerry’s (Alan Steele) pursuit of a young woman (Janet Coulson), who fantasises about stealing a glamorous green dress. But how far will he go to catch her? Events are comically overseen by Gerry’s supervisor (Kenny Blyth), culminating in a breathtaking plot twist.
Firebrand’s Ellie Zeegen added: “It’s exciting after our well-received revivals of Iron with Taggart’s Blythe Duff and Peter Arnott’s White Rose, to get the chance to stage the second-ever production of David’s play.” For more info, visit www.heartofhawick.co.uk
