A WOMAN who stole £50 worth of goods from a local shop has been sentenced to a Community Payback Order with 125 hours of unpaid work.

Kimberley Moscrop was given six months to complete the work, and also placed under supervision for two years.

At Jedburgh Sheriff Court on Friday, Moscrop, 23, of Hillend Drive, admitted stealing goods from the Co-op store, Kenilworth Avenue, on January 4, and committing the offence while on bail.

Moscrop was admonished on a further charge after she admitted failing to appear at court on July 25.
