Teries will turn out in droves tomorrow (Saturday) for the community council’s annual Christmas parade.
This year’s festive extravaganza kicks off from Duke Street at 5pm and will travel along North Bridge Street and onto the High Street at the Horse.
There are 23 entries in this year’s parade and alongside some new participants, several local primary schools will be represented. The entries include a mixture of walking groups, floats, the Scout Fellowship Pipe Band and the Saxhorn Band who will play at the Horse.
Participants should muster at 4pm and access to Duke Street is via Trinity Street and Noble Place.
Community council chair Marion Short told the Hawick: “It’s all very exciting and I’m sure the parade will be enjoyed by townsfolk young and old.
