Man punched house door in frustration

A dispute with his partner ended with Taylor-Kingsley Carter punching a door, causing £50 damage.

Carter, 20, of North Bridge Street, admitted recklessly damaging property at a house in Branxholme Road, on January 19.

“There was a dispute with his ex-partner and during the argument, he punched a door,” explained procurator fiscal Morag McLintock.

Defence solicitor Iain Burke told Jedburgh Sheriff Court his client had “taken out his frustration” on the door. “The relationship was in difficulties and they had been arguing repeatedly,” he explained.

Carter was ordered to pay £50 compensation for the damage he caused.
