Weather update: school transport still cancelled with more snow on way

SCHOOL transport remains cancelled as a result of the forecast for more heavy snow today (Tuesday).

Schools will make decisions locally about any early closures or changes to transport arrangements, and parents will be kept informed via group-call, local radio and the council’s website (www.scotborders.gov.uk).

A council spokesperson said: “We’d advise parents that only pupils who can safely walk to school today should do so due to the weather warning that’s in place.

“Pupil safety is our primary concern. There is also the consideration that is needed for pupils getting home later today in potentially worse conditions.”
