Sentence deferred on man who assaulted ex-girlfriend

A 21-Year-old lost his temper after an argument with his former partner, and assaulted her.

Ryan Edmison, 21, formerly of Buccleuch Street, admitted assaulting his then partner by seizing her by the clothing at a house in Buccleuch Street on December 29.

Defence solicitor Ross Dow said his client had spent 20 days in custody.

“There is no prospect of reconciliation,” he added, “and he plans to leave the area and work in Kent.”

Sentence was deferred for six months, until July 26, for good behaviour.
