Scottish Power says sorry

THE homes of hundreds of town residents were left without power for more than an hour last Sunday.

A cable fault in the Commercial Road and Union Street area was reported to ScottishPower shortly after 8.30pm, and the company worked to restore supply to around 300 customers within an hour-and-a-quarter.

A company spokesperson said: “ScottishPower would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused to customers due to the cable fault.”
